Basic Information About DATA:
On October 17, 2000 Title XXXV
of the Children’s Health Act of 2000 was enacted that permits the
prescribing of schedule III, IV or V opioid treatment drugs that are
approved by the FDA for maintenance or detoxification treatment.

Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB)

Upon approval of buprenorphrine the states will have a period of time
in which to implement state law. The FSMB has been working to coordinate
these initiatives and has developed a protocol guidelines for state
medical boards.

comment on the guidelines established by the FSMBs and this is the
