Gulf Coast Area

New Orleans

The recent hurricaine Gustav has again questioned the emergency response for MAT patients in the area. Some patients were just given a few days of take home medication and no other instructions. They did not know where to go if they could not enter the city within a few days or who to call. NAMA needs to know if this was common so please if you live in the area please let us know if your program did a good job or a bad job. You can post your comments at We Speak Methadone or by sending a message to the Executive Director Joycelyn Woods

September is National Recovery Month
