Wow, that sucks. I would drive out of state too I think. There's no way you'd be able to get on with life having to attend the clinic that often. :(

Would anyone happen to know a link i can go to to check out he regulations on methadone in the state of ky? i have been fighting my insurance tooth and nail to get my treatment paid of but beings i go to another state they have give me numerous reasons as to why they cant pay for my treatment! Im just beyond aggravated and furious to say the least!!!!! I am desperately needing my insurance to pay on my treatment or reimburse me which they have also refused! I have Gateway Health Medicare Assured Diamond (HMO SNP) which is over my medicare and medicaid.... so what should i do? I called a number i found online for SAMHSA that said they could tell me any and all MMT clinics that would take the type of ins i had, well that website was so very wrong!!!! They were absolutely NO HELP at all!!!! Im just fed up yall.... im so tired of being broke all the time because my treatment takes almost all of my money and i dont get food stamps or anything like that so its a real struggle...... hope yall can suggest something.... again i live in ky and travel to another state for treatment and the clinic i go to just has no desire what so ever to even try to help me get my MMT paid for! sorry for the rant but im just nearing the end of my frazzled rope.......

http://www.lrc.ky.gov/kar/908/001/340.htm

This is a link to the state guidelines for the prescribing of methadone in a clinic setting etc. Hope it's helpful.

I hope you manage to get it sorted out, it would be a lot better if insurance would cover it for you!

Kentucky is one of the not-so-great states for methadone treatment, unfortunately. The take-home restrictions are especially archaic. Thanks to Sapphire for making sure this patient has access to their state regs!
